Gamma-valerolactone Biorefinery
Gamma-valerolactone (GVL) Biorefinery concept has been developed in Aalto University, Finland since early 2010s as a green alternative biomass fractionation technique contributing to the global effort of transforming our society into Bioeconomy.
GVL biorefinery aims at producing existing commodities in a sustainable manner by employing a biomass-derived, environmentally benign solvent and maximizing feedstock valorization rate.
